In July 2010, Lost in Transit
(
www.lostintransitrally.com)
, will take part in an epic drive of
over 10,000 miles from central London to the Mongolian capital
Ulaanbaatar as part of the Mongolia Charity Rally. Our team will aim to
raise at least £1,500 for UK charity Go Help, which engages
the public in supporting grass roots charitable projects in the
destination country of its events.
The voyage will take us across
Europe to Croatia and Ukraine, through
Russia and into Kazakhstan, back into Russia and through the Gobi
dessert into Mongolia and our final destination.. the capital,
Ulaanbaatar.
The Mongolia Charity Rally raises over £100,000 a year for worthy
causes in Mongolia, with funds raised and vehicles donated to support
projects in Mongolia run by a range of charities including Save the
Children. Since
Save the Children UK pulled its funding from
Save
the Children Mongolia GoHelp has picked up the entire funding
deficite and given an amazing
£185,000.
So far GoHelp has
raised £250,000. Go Help is a UK registered
charity run entirely by volunteers.
