CHEERS EVERYONE WE WELL AND TRULY HIT OUR TARGET SO IT WAS ALL WORTHWHILE THANKS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT, LOUISE, CHERYL, SUE AND GAIL
Hi everyone
On Saturday the 21st June 2008 I have challenged myself and 3 friends to walk the Sandstone trail. This is a 34 mile (55km) trail from Frodsham to Whitchurch.
I have personally chosen Christie's as a charity in memory of my dad who sadly passed away in October 2005 in Christie's hospital. He was treated at Christie's over a 10 year period initially for skin cancer and then Leukaemia. All the surgical staff, consultants and nursing staff were fantastic and a great support to us as a family. Therefore I would like to put something back to aid research, treatment and support for others.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Christie's will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support. (I may need your support after all that walking !)
Cheers Louise X
10.6.08 Just an update- training is going well. Went out on a gorgeous day on Sunday to practice part of the route, what fantastic scenery. I am so very grateful for all your contributions. If anyone has any trouble with the website when trying to donate contact the help desk on help@justgiving.net.. Louise X
19.6.08 Quick update. To add to the online contributions of £568 as of today I am about to bank 286.00. This needs gift aid adding to it . So getting very near to the target. I still have some pledges to collect in when the walk is completed. Getting very nervous but also looking foward to it. So wish us luck, no turning back now and hopefully the money raised from our challenge will make a difference for patients at Christie's. Thanks again Louise
