I have challenged myself to swim 1.5 mile in the open sea from Cumbrae to Largs on Saturday 13th September 2014.

I am taking this challenge on to celebrate 3 very important people in my life and to raise money for Gillian's Saltire appeal.

My mother in law Heather Campbell and one of my best friends  
Susan Hughes who both stood up to cancer and thankfully beat it.
They were both an inspiration to others during their time of illness and both of them was never faced by it. Love you both.

I am also swimming in memory of a good friend who always gave me great advise and laughter when I first moved to Scotland,
Sandra Samuel who sadly passed away this year due to cancer.
Gone but not forgotten. Always in my thoughts.
