Update!

A huge thank you to everyone who sponsored me to run the London Marathon. I finished in 3 hrs 58 mins and 11 seconds!

You've helped me raise more than £2000 (Including Gift Aid) for Help the Aged, such a worthwhile cause.

Thanks also to everyone who supported on the day through the rain and hail! The crowd make the 26.2 miles so much more bearable!

Hello and thank you very much for visiting my fundraising page.

I have decided to run the Flora London Marathon on Sunday 13th April 2008 to raise much needed funds for Help the Aged.

I hope you will agree it's a great charity to run for - proceeds raised will go towards Help the Aged's work to improve the quality of life of older people. Their main campaign and support areas are poverty, isolation and neglect.

Here's why I'm doing it:
* 2.2 million people (over one in five pensioners in Great Britain) live below the poverty line.
* Over 1.2 million older people (13%) in the UK always or often feel lonely
* 33% of the homes occupied by older people in England fail the decent homes standard (approximately 1.8 million households)

Please give what you can to support this worthwhile cause which will inspire me to get round the 26.2 miles!
