GCX support letter

“Tides of misery are sweeping all across the world. Wars, disasters, pandemics, etc are in our faces on a daily basis. Imagine, in the midst of all this, a group of beautiful young people on a mission to make a difference! This is Global Challenge Expeditions.”

January 2009, five teams will embark on the journey of a lifetime. They will travel for 11 months through 20 countries; share the good news of Christ, build orphanages, study the Scriptures, meet with fellow believers and much more. They will be tested to the limit. It is therefore also a leadership development program. They will be the generation of leaders that will be challenged to meet the needs of their time.

From the day I first put my feet onto UK soil, God has blessed me with more than I could ever imagine: work, a home, spending time with family, I could pay of my study dept, I travelled and saw the most amazing places but most of all He blessed me through His church.

I want to thank God for Christian friends who motivated me, cared for me and walked this journey with me and also that I had the privilege to receive teachings whether through a camp, a course, home bible study group or an outreach. 

I know that God has prepared me to take that leap of faith and go on a life changing journey to share the Good News with others. I pray that I would be a blessing to others through Christ.

In this ‘God send journey’ I hope to get some insight into Gods heart for this world, to learn what my spiritual gifts are and to serve with a thankful heart.  I pray that God will build my character, make me strong in my faith, willing to obey Him so that I can be a disciple living by faith in God.

I know that God called me on this journey to be His hands and feet and that is why most importantly I need your prayers. Without your prayers and support I cannot set out on this God send journey. I need your prayers for God to do His work through me, to be the light on my path and to keep me strong in my faith. Please pray with me as I set out on this journey fully dependant on God.
