Hello and welcome to my Fundraising Page!

I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on the 12th October 2008, London’s first half marathon…and my first as well!

I am raising money for the Jubilee Sailing Trust - a great charity that enables a crew of mixed physical abilities to enjoy the challenge and excitement of tall ship sailing together, on voyages around the world. To date the JST has taken over 28,600 people to sea; over 11,100 of them have been disabled and over 4,280 of those have been wheelchair users.

The JST runs two magnificent tall ships, called Tenacious and the Lord Nelson. They the only two vessels in the world that have been purpose-designed with many special features, ensuring that everyone on board is able to take a full and active part in the running of the vessel.

I sailed with the JST in February on the Lord Nelson, and it was a fantastic experience for me. I learned so much, about sailing and teamwork, and it really changed how I perceived disabilities. It really was a unique opportunity for me that I will always remember, and I want to give something back by raising money for this very worthy cause.
