Story

I completed the 13 miles in 2 hours 6 minutes 34 seconds

================================================

On Sunday 19th September, I'm attempting to complete the 21 kilometres (sounds better than 13 miles!) of the Great North Run to raise money for Martin House Hospice who are based in Wetherby near Leeds.

Martin House are one of those charities you hope you never have to call on for their services - but to those families who find themselves in the unimaginable position of having a child with a life limiting illness, they provide an extraordinary service of assistance and compassionate care.

I know two families who have sadly had to use the services of Martin House, and they give nothing but praise and gratitude to the benevolence shown by all at this organisation during their difficult time.

So to ensure I suffer for a couple of hours on a September morning (and for a few days after no doubt) click the Donate Now button - your sponsorship is going to a very worthwhile cause.

Thanks

Mark

p.s. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
