My 3 days of pain in the rain, 6 cols, 9 hours, 9 minutes of climbing, 17 hours in the saddle, 182 miles,16,122 calories and 33,341 feet of ascent have so far raised over four thousand pounds, plus Gift Aid, for Macmillan.That's more than enough to pay for a Macmillan health professional for a month, which will make a real difference to the lives of scores of people living with cancer. I fund-raise for Macmillan in recognition of the outstanding care and support they gave my late sister-in-law Suzi and her family, before and after her death in 2002, aged 38. One in three of us will contract cancer and sadly it will touch all of our lives eventually . That's when we'll turn to Macmillan.

 I covered all the costs of this trip myself. All  donations will go in full to Macmillan.
