We are powered by people. We’re here to find a cure and improve lives, together.

Story

Following the success of our Coast to Coast adventure last year (we raised over £150,000 for Parkinson’s UK) we thought we’d better attempt another one and raise some more money towards finding a cure for this currently incurable disease which Dave Clark and I have got to know increasingly well over the past few years. Amongst many other things, walking is a one of the many daily challenges sufferers face along with fatigue and many other unpleasant symptoms, so a long walk followed by a large climb can be pretty daunting but equally, life-affirming. Well, that’s what Dave said last time and he was right…..
This time, like good marauding Englanders, Mandi and I thought we’d go one step further, cross the border and take on what has been described as the last remaining wilderness in the UK, the West Highland Way. Departing from just North of Glasgow and ending at the foot of Ben Nevis it is shorter than the C2C but it still remains a challenge for someone with as short legs as yours truly…...not to mention the small matter of my best friend and constant companion, Parkinson who insists on going everywhere with me and continually seeks to trip me up.
In an effort to ‘pimp up’ the experience (long distance walkers everywhere will be shuddering at the vernacular) on Day 11, those that are up for it, will scale Ben Nevis in kilts.
All are welcome to join for all or part of the experience and for those wishing to protect their crown jewels from frostbite (or midges) on Britain’s highest mountain you can sponsor me and Mandi and we’ll go through the pain on your behalf.
