Story

As-Salamu Alaykum ~ Peace be upon you.
Thank you visiting my JustGiving page.

Pakistan: On the 10th and 30th of January 2015, innocent worshippers were martyred after an attack & explosion within and surrounding Mosques in Rawalpindi & Shikapur. Then once again, on the 13th & 18th of February in Peshawar & Rawalpindi. These were four large attacks in 2015. Over 100 innocent people have died and hundreds injured in this latest batch of brutal attacks.

In recent years, IUS AID and the Rehana Foundation have worked in partnership to provide aid and regular support to martyrs and their families who have been affected in Pakistan in different ways. The focus is on:

1) Aid to orphans and widows
2) Assisting disabled children and elderly
3) Counselling parents of disabled children
4) Patient treatment and equipment

Iraq: A UN Protection of Civilians In the Armed Conflict report (October 2015) showed that only from 1 January 2014 through 31 October 2015, UNAMI/OHCHR recorded at least 55,047 civilian casualties as a result of the conflict, with 18,802 people killed and 36,245 wounded. About 3.2 million people were internally displaced, including a million school-aged children.

Syria: March 2015 marks 4 years of conflict, which UN officials as the biggest crisis since World War II. Just five
years ago the life expectancy of a child born in Syria was 75.9 years, but that number has since fallen to an estimated 55.7 years. It is estimated that half the country’s pre-war population — more than 11 million people have been killed or forced to flee their homes.

What is the IUS AID Martyrs Appeal about?

The systematic assassination and brutal killing of the followers of Imam Hussain in Pakistan has seen over 30,000 innocent killed. Many thousands have been orphaned, plunged into poverty without their breadwinners - families vanished, futures destroyed.

He sacrificed everything he had: the blood of his own heart, his children, his friends and dearest companions. To the extent that after his killing, his tents were plundered and looted, as his orphaned daughters, bereaved sisters and scattered retinue sought sanctuary in the wilderness of the desert.

"Is there anyone who will come to my aid". Alas, no aid came.

The cry he raised resonates to this day, appealing to the faculties of human compassion and empathy.

Please support those who genuinely have none.

“You will not attain righteousness till you spend in charity of the things you love.” - Qur’an 3:92
