Story
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.
We are a team called 'As Keynes as Mustard '.
We are supported by Steve Cairns who runs Budget Car and Van Rental here in Milton Keynes and has kindly loaned us our support vehicle for the challenge.
We are Martin Bull, Neil Muxlow, Alan Bullen and Anthony Priest.
In September this year we will be cycling Five Hundred miles from Lens in the north of France past Paris & Fontainebleau into the Loire Valley and Bourges, and on to the Massif Central to finish at the foot of Puy de Dôme near Vichy. We will be doing this in just 3 days apparently!!.
Why? ....to raise in excess of £2000 pounds for charity.
The route can be found at http://www.extra-mile.org.uk but it involves cycling approx 170 miles per day.
We are raising money via Extra Mile Challenges, an organisation whose sole aim is to organise events that raise money for other charities. This year the money we raise will be spread over five charities:
Milton Keynes YMCA Reaching out to young people, families and the community in Milton Keynes. Registered Charity number 212810 www.mkymca.com
Ridgeway Special School, Kempston The Ridgeway Special School provides support for pupils with disabilities and is the only school in the County of Bedfordshire for pupils with physical disabilities. Registered Charity number 1055071

Association of Young People with ME. AYME is the largest national charity for children and young people with ME aged 5 to 25. They provide support, advice and information to young people with ME and their families and friends. They help break the isolation that children and young people with ME feel, and make sure their voice is heard at all levels. www.ayme.org.uk
We are prepared to do the hard physical labour, but we would really appreciate any donations you can give. So you are all aware, this will be a tough challenge for us, none of us are 'professional' cyclists - just 4 'middle aged' businessmen trying to give something back to the community in which we live.
Thank you for your support. Please dig deep and sponsor us.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us. Extra Mile challenges will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
