Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
I am doing a bungee jump in aid of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Darfur and Chad on the 30th June 2007 in Datchet (Windsor).
Conflicts in Darfur have been persistent since 2003 and have cost, on estimate, over 200,000 lives with millions of civilians having fled their destroyed villages. The Janjaweed patrol outside the camps and Darfurians say "the men are killed and the women raped if they venture too far in search of firewood or water".
The suffering is made far worse by the lack of food, water or medicine.
All of the raised funds will be donated directly to the Disasters Emergency Committee. See www.dec.org.uk . The DEC unites the leading independent humanitarian agencies in the United Kingdom in their efforts to maximise income from the people across the UK to mount an effective humanitarian response to major disasters overseas.
Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Disasters Emergency Committee will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
