Hello All,

For some mind-numbingly stupid reason I shall be running* in the Edinburgh Marathon on the 23rd of May 2010.

I wont lie, my main reason for doing this is for my ego, so I can say "I have ran** a Marathon".

Having said that if I'm going to ruin myself plodding round 26.2 Miles of Edinburgh streets I may as well try and help someone else out in the process. As such I have decided to Collect for the "Help For Hero's" charity (the "Matt's Recovery Fund" collection will start on the 24th of May).  Follow the link to the Help for hero’s charity page.

I have two objectives for the Marathon:

1) Survival - Just to get round

2) Sub 4 Hours Start to Finish - 3 Hours, 59 Minutes, 59 Seconds will do me fine :o)

I don't have a financial target for this collection; whatever you can give will be welcome (although please use gift aid if you do donate, don’t let the tax man get his grubby little mitts on it).

I'm looking forward to the race*** and hoping that someone else can gain some benefit for my pains.
