Story
Having not really continued the running since July for the British 10k Run I've now set myself another goal to achieve.
Having succeeded in beating my personal best times in succession in the British 10k runs (2007 & 2011) and Brighton 10k run (2008) I have decided to raise the bar somewhat to a half marathon distance of 13.1 miles.
The Adidas Half Marathon is held at Silverstone on the 11th March 2012 and the run starts at 12:00 midday.
I've raised £1280 so far in my running history for various charities including NSPCC, MacMillan Cancer Support and Cystic Fibrosis Trust. So it would be fully appreciated for your kind donations for my latest fundraiser. I will be running for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust again this time out as it is a charity that is close to me personally.
My friend Mike Mackay has Cystic Fibrosis himself and received a heart and lung transplant four years ago. Mike joined me in running the British 10k Run this year and he ran a brilliant race time. It was a great achievement for him. Truly inspirational and makes me realise I have been lazy in my running efforts so it's time to up the game.
I would appreciate any donations whether big or small and look forward to running a good time in March 2012.
Thank you for your time
Regards
Matthew Sexton
