Story

Thank you for visiting the McGoff and Byrne Ltd and Villafont Care fundraising page.

The group business's, McGoff and Byrne Ltd and Villafont Care have sponsored the entry of a team in this years Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride on Sunday 13th July.

The ride is 60 miles long and the team comprises myself, work colleagues and Pals.

We will be riding in aid of The Christie Hospital. I am sure that we will all know of someone whose life has been affected by cancer and many of us including myself will have had a much closer experience and will already appreciate the fantastic treatment and care provided at this world renowed facility in our home City.

UPDATE MONDAY 14th JULY

We enjoyed the ride of our lives yesterday, completing the 61 mile distance in 4.5 hours including our planned stop at Euxton for re grouping and refreshments. The 16 team members all crossed the line together as planned to an enthusiastic reception from the crowds and organisers.

A staggering £ 2154.67 was raised at the raffle yesterday with a mystery telephone bidder winning a date with the beautiful Elle, contributing a further £450.00 to the worthy cause.

Special thanks to John and Anita at The Farmers, Paul Knight and Dave Herd in the support vehicles without you this couldn't have all worked so well.

Thanks for all your support!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Christie's will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Regards

James McGoff
