Story
Hello and thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
On the 13th Sept 2009, I ran my 100th marathon, making me the youngest known female to achieve this (hopefully also being recognised by the Guinness book of records, just waiting for them to confirm it).
I decided to make Moray marathon, Elgin, my 100th as it is the closest marathon to where I grew up. I actually went to college in Elgin. For this reason it has a special place in my heart so to complete this(and is reasonable time considering was dressed as a pirate) as my 100th was amazing. Also raising money for two charities that I really want to help, Build Africa and Friends of Jubilee Hospital (which is a small local hospital in the town of Huntly, where I went to school and where they looked after my Granda so very well in his last days) made the day even more special.
A couple of years ago my Granda followed me all the way round the course in the offering support and saying how proud he was of me, I am sure he will be there this year in spirit supporting me again so please donate any small amount you can to help me make him proud again. I AM SURE HE IS NOW!!!!!
Donating through justgiving is quick and totally secure, it's also the more efficient way to sponsor me; Build Africa and Friends of Jubilee gets your money faster and if you are a UK taxpayer, justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you so much every donation is appreciated Mel x
