We support people with aphasia to enhance their lives and raise awareness

Story

After years of trying to be in the city for the Walk 2 Talk, this year we'll be making an appearance and hoping to raise some money for this great cause.

On Sunday 11 May, we'll be joining others in the North East with an interest in NETA to complete an all abilities walk in Leazes park . The aim is to raise awareness about aphasia, and generate funds for the charity.  As many of the participants are wheelchair users, or can only walk short distances, the aim is to walk as far as you can manage comfortably.  We'll go for getting all the way around the lake, no doubt bribing Hannah with the promise of an ice cream if she makes it round!

Please see http://www.neta.org.uk/index.htm for more information about the charity.

We hope you can support our toddle on May 11th! "Dadu!"

The North East Trust for Aphasia (NETA) supports people with aphasia and their carers. Aphasia means difficulties with communication, often following stroke. The person with aphasia can have problems speaking, understanding, reading and writing. This can have major effects for both the person and their family in terms of social life, work and relationships.
