Argyll and Sutherland Regiment : Army training challenge supporting Ashford Neonatal Intensive and Special Care Baby Unit on Sat Sept 13th 2008.
Dear Sponsor,
I'm seeking your help to raise sponsorship to support the Neonatal & Special Care Baby Unit in Ashford where premature and sick babies require expert care by dedicated professional teams and facilities. I experienced this first hand earlier this year when my Baby daughter was born 3 months premature (820g) and spent 11 weeks in the unit. Donations you make will go towards this incredibly busy life saving unit and hopefully someday a tiny little baby will have benefited from your generosity.
To gain your support I'll be taking part in a challenge with other select Pharm Sci colleagues where we will attempt to survive a days training with the Argyll and Sutherland Army regiment. I have undertaken some tough challenges, one even involved falling 50ft of a mountain cliff and landing on my delicate head ! However I can honestly say this one is different as an Irishman entrusting himself to the services of her Royal Majesty for the day to undergo some gruelling training where I face humilitation is starting to worry me!!
It may take years to recover from this ordeal and I hope it is enough to gain your support and provide a little amusement along the way. Please sponsor a very worthy cause and a little baby at the Neonatal Intensive & Special Care Baby Unit in Ashford will benefit from your kindness. Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust Charitable Fund gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
