We work with worldwide partners to improve education and livelihood chances

Story

This September I will be swimming the channel to raise money for schools for underprivileged children in Nepal, through Mondochallenge.

I’ll be swimming as part of a team and we’ve been training hard since January.  The journey can take over 18 hours, you are at the mercy of the British weather and the water is absolutely freezing.  To make it more fun, the Channel Swimming Association has decided that it only counts if you wear Speedos.

The money will be used make concrete improvements to the children’s education, including repairing broken roofs and supplying books for their libraries.  Having volunteered with Mondo in 2002, I can also assure that they’re an excellent charity - the money will go straight the cause and be used in the most effective way, so please give generously!

We also have a blog where you can see updates of our training progress and photos of our some of cold water training/torture in Dover – http://swimteam2008.blogspot.com/2008/05/live-action-in-dover.html

Thanks,

Michael
