Thanks for taking the time to visit the Selsley Charity Ride JustGiving page.

This is the third year of the Selsley Charity Ride.  The 2010 event is on the 4th September, starting at 10 o'clock from the Bell Inn, Selsley.

The route is the same as last year - through Stroud and up to Bisley, then dip down and up to Sapperton, and then into Cirencester via Daglinworth.  After lunch in Ciren the return leg is via Kemble, Minchinhampton and Amberley.  The route is about 38 miles all told, climbs in excess of 900 metres, and includes some off-road sections.  There will be 2 or 3 refreshment (pub!) stops on the way round.  Detailed maps of the route will be provided.

The Bell Inn, Selsley is our final destination to enjoy a relaxing pint and a conversation about our saddle sores!

This year's good cause is Help for Heroes.  This excellent charity was founded in October 2007 to help the wounded Servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq. Help for Heroes is a strictly non political and non critical organisation.  We may not be able to prevent our soldiers from being wounded, but together we can help them get better.

So how can you help?  Well ideally we'd like you to make a donation and ride the event - it should be possible for anybody who can ride a bike and has some determination to get round (besides, there's a broom wagon to collect anybody who is unable to go on).  And of course it is fun!  But if biking really isn't your thing, by all means just make a donation!
