Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We have chosen to run the Chester Half Marahton for Nightingale House Hospice in honour of Dan West's mother-in-law Maureen Bold, who sadly passed away from cancer (mesothelioma to be exact!) in September last year. Towards the end we turned to NHH for some help and they provided some fantastic care and support for Mo and helped get her back on her feet, albeit temporarily, until the end. The support and care was also extended to the family and offered some real respite for the family, especially for Dan's wife, Alicia, who had taken time off work to look after her mum who was living with them at the time.

Most people from around the area will have heard of NHH but it’s not until you require the services of one of these providers that you realise just what amazing work they do and how they help take the burden off the family to look after their loved one. So it is because of this that we want to try and raise some cash to help support them and to thank them for the wonderful job they do.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity
