Story

I can't quite believe it myself, but have decided to have a crack at running a marathon.  I figured if I was going to slog my guts out for weeks before the day itself, as well as race day itself, I really should ensure somebody got some benefit from my self-induced misery, hence why I am raising money for charity.

My chosen charity is the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children.  I am lucky that my three kids have all been born healthy, but not everyone is as fortunate, hence my choice of charity.  The NI Cancer fund for Children is a local charity giving vital support and making a positive contribution to the lives of young people diagnosed with cancer and their families.  It offers practical, emotional and financial support to children and young people up to and including the age of 24, who are living with cancer, and their families.
