Update: I did it! Well, not quite within my target time but at 54 minutes 03 seconds still 2 minutes quicker than my last one 3 years ago, and I came about 1,700th out of 30,000 which I am quite happy with.

 

Quite a hot one in the end, after a rainy morning, the sun came out and stayed out for the duration of the race!
