Story

Once upon a time there were two young go-getters from the sleepy hamlet of Calne, Wiltshire. Everyone who was anyone knew these two kids were something special, even though by day these were apparently two quiet, even unassuming characters who kept away from the limelight and definitely did things selflessly and certainly not for all the coolness and kudos that goes with doing superhuman things. But, there must be something in the water in Calne, well, maybe just in the water mains that only go to Dan's and Dean's houses. Because, it was soon discovered that these two were not just any old kids. They were in fact fund-raising super heroes. Yes, you've read it correctly, and this is no joke. Seriously. By night, they don their tight fitting lycra super hero outfits and hit the street corners, monitoring for any occasion where money can be raised. But, with constant pestering from cars with blacked out windows and even the police, plus Dean getting found out by his Mum, they had to look at other means of raising money.....

One drunk evening in a local tavern, under the influence of alcohol, Dan and Dean decided to put all their super hero eggs into one basket and concentrate on raising money by means of physically beasting themselves and putting themselves through severe crotch pain. It took years and lots of sneering by doubters to finally take the plunge and book some flights to undertake what is undoubtedly and potentially the greatest achievement any human being on earth has ever undertaken (possibly). Here is the plan...

1. Fly to Milan with bikes, kit, panniers and tents.
2. Disembark plain in Milan, set up bikes, get changed (will probably share a cubical to save time and to not give away true superhuman identities).
3. Cycle home. Over the Alps, including the Col Du Grand St Bernard, into Switzerland, through France to Dieppe, ferry to Newhaven, then cycle back to Calne. Reckon on about 800 - 900 miles, in under 2 weeks.
4. Have a beer on everyone, sit back and soak up the respect.

So, all they need now to make this complete is to find a cause to raise money for. For those of you who don't know, the Wiltshire Air Ambulance is funded by the public, and it needs the support of the Wiltshire people to keep it running. You could say that it is a local chopper for local people. Its safe to say that most people will know of someone who has needed the Wiltshire Air Ambulance team at some point, which goes to show how much of a vital role they play in the safety and well being of Wiltshire people. So, what Dan and Dean are asking from you all is for you to sponsor them as much as you want as they get their pasty white legs out and pedal back from Milan in aid of the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. You're support will go a long, long way!! Thanks for reading.
