Story

We are taking part in the Men’s Health Survival of the Fittest challenge on Saturday 9th October in Nottingham. The event is a 12km run...with a twist! Not only will be running a gruelling 12km but we will be pushing our bodies to the limits with ten of the most daunting obstacles the world (or Nottingham) has seen, for example an Army obstacle course, swimming a lake twice and a 10ft wall!! For more information, please feel free to take a look at the website:
http://www.mhsurvival.co.uk/
We are planning to donate all money raised to The Gaucher's Association. Gauchers disease isn't well known, but it is a very serious illness. In 2008, Tracey's dad, Tom Downes, passed away from multi-organ failure which was caused by Gauchers, and we're hoping this money will help other sufferers and their families.
Please can you dig deep and donate whatever you can to this cause. We will be shedding blood sweat and tears in Nottingham (and Alex may even drown!!!) so your support will be a real boost to us all!

About the charity

The Gauchers Association was formed in 1991 and is the only registered UK charity providing support to individuals and families affected by Gaucher disease, acting as the centre point for the Gaucher community working alongside medical professionals, scientists and pharmaceutical industry.
