Story
Ladies and gents,
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
As you probably know from the various begging e-mails and messages, on 18 April 2010 we are going to be taking part in a zip-slide from the Top Balcony at Goodison Park to the bottom of the Bullens Road stand, in order to raise funds for the Everton Foundation. Now, anyone who has been to Goodison will know that this means we're pretty much putting our lives on the line - we expect the old girl will be creaking under the pressure, especially when Ian is up there.
The Everton Foundation is a terrific charity which raises money to assist with a variety of schemes within the Merseyside and greater North West area, dealing with issues such as disability, education, healthcare in schools, social inclusion and behaviour within the community. They also do some great work with Alder Hey Children's Hospital, getting the kids there involved in sports and healthcare initiatives. For full information on TEF, please visit their website at http://www.evertonfoundation.org/. This is not raising money for Everton FC! TEF is a totally independent trust, sponsored by Everton and run for the benefit of the community.
We'd be really grateful if you could sponsor us for the zip-slide so we can meet our target of £300, and even go beyond it if possible. All monies go direct to TEF and if you look at the website above, you'll see it really makes a difference to the people who benefit from TEF's schemes.
Now the formal bit, to put minds at rest...
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Any donation is gratefully received - please pass the word on to friends, family and anyone who simply may be interested in this project, TEF or any other schemes they run. The more the merrier!
Thanks very much to everyone
