Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Last time I did this Mitsou was still alive and by running the New York marathon I managed to raise £8,500 for Breast Cancer Care. Well this time it's all about me and the rest of us left behind.

Shortly after Mitsou died I started counselling with the Kingston Bereavement Service https://www.kingstonbereavementservice.org.uk. I cannot thank them enough for the help and guidance they have given me through some very dark days. Because they are not a particularly well known charity they find it incredibly hard to raise money each year, but as most of you know, it is the loved ones left behind that probably need the most help.

I'm far too old to run another marathon, so on March 10th 2010 (Mitsou's 50th birthday) Shreddie (our dog) and I intend to start walking the South West Coastal Path. It's approximately 630 miles long and equivalent to climbing Everest three times, starting at Minehead in North Somerset and finishing at Poole in Dorset. We hope to complete the walk in about 8 weeks and our accommodation will be a mixture of b&b's and our 'one man and his dog' tent. I would be extremely grateful for any donation you make, however large or small, as every penny really does count.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks in advance
