Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.  Many of us can be touched by Multiple Sclerosis; recently, and out of the blue, both a family member and I were diagnosed with the condition.  On hearing my diagnosis, I thought that anything that could be done to provide some support to those less able to cope with the condition was worth doing.  The 'anything' in my case is a challenge involving skiing over 150 000 vertical feet in a week - about a Mount Everest a day - in the Canadian Rockies on my monsterski challenge.  In comparison, in a week, the average skier would ski around 40 000 vertical feet skiing fairly hard.  This challenge, therefore, is much more than that and will be tough, demanding and a real test of my stamina and fitness.  I will be joined by my brother, Nick, from Ski Independence, and am looking forward to achieving my goal. 

Moreover, we are paying our own costs so all monies donated will go directly to helping the work of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and its affiliated groups.
