Story

Like many other charities, the Kent MS Therapy Centre has entered a very challenging period due to the outbreak of Covid-19. Our centre has temporarily closed and donations we receive from our members, the wider community and through fundraising has declined dramatically.

So that's why I've decided to take on The 2.6 Challenge and from 26 April I'm going to be cycling 26 miles per day for 5 days on a static bike in my living room. That's 130 miles in total (and I'm not a cyclist btw). What's more, I'm going to be dressed in fancy dress as a different female superhero each day! Now that's got to be worth some sponsorship right?

The Kent MS Therapy Centre is the only dedicated therapy centre in Kent that operates six days a week to support people who are suffering from Multiple Sclerosis (MS). We do this by providing a range of non-invasive therapies which help to relieve the symptoms of MS and improve quality of life.

Approximately 300 people use our services every month which include:

* Hydrotherapy
* Physiotherapy
* Oxygen Therapy
* Gym and Group Exercise
* Counselling and Nutritional Advice

In 2019 a total of 10,557 one-to-one and group therapy sessions were accessed by 603 individual members, with a combined attendance of 18,741 - an average of 31 activities per member.
