Hello: A big Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am doing my first ever Great North Run!  Yes I am crazy, but my charity 'Butterwick Hospice' deserves it.  Just take a look at what they do on their page.  It made me want to do something for them.

I don't know if you are aware but I broke my ankle back in 2005.  It was a freak accident that made me realise that having the use of two feet is a joy!  I also realised the 'more important' things in life...

I have 7, yes 7! screws in my right ankle that has thankfully healed.  So taking part in the Great North Run will be a challenge- a challenge welcomed.  My goal is to keep running throughout the run and not walk!

I know times are hard.  At the same time, every penny matters.  It does not matter how much you donate- whatever you think suits your budget.  But just remember, when I am running, I will be thinking of your kind donation.  I promise you that this helps me to keep on running.  It is a great way of being motivated when I am tired - thinking about your donation and the 'good' it will do.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly my charity 'BUTTERWICK HOSPICE' and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. There will also be the traditional sponsor forms available if you are local to me should you prefer this.  A lot of people do so just find your nearest sponsor form!

So please please please try and help me reach my target.  The good news is that my employer will match what I raise (up to £500).  If I raise my target of £150, my charity will get £300 in total.  How brilliant is that?
