Story

Hello people,

I’m sure that, by now, many of you will know about the absolutely disastrous situation enfolding in .

The worst floods in 's history have hit at least 14 million people; flooding has submerged whole villages in the past week, killing at least 1,600 people.

650,000 houses were destroyed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and provinces alone, and things will get worse as the monsoon season is set to continue for some time.

A UN official stated that with crops swept away by floodwaters, some Pakistanis could be forced to rely on food aid to get through the winter. He said the immediate priorities for survivors were clean drinking water and medical assistance.

Many of you will also know that I can be a rather meandering person at times, so running a half marathon (all 13 point something miles), soon after having fasted during the month of Ramadan, is quite a challenge for me. So dig deep and donate whatever you can to help the unfortunate people of , and inspire me to pass the finish line (eventually)!

Many thanks

Big hug

Nageela
