Story
Is she/isn't she going?
She wasn't but she is now! It's a long story but I have two weeks to raise as much as I can forGreatOrmondStreetHospitaland condition my body for the longest walk/run/crawl/jog of m'life to date so please DIG DEEP as they say and sponsor away.
Am raising money for GOSH after watching a documentary about a VERY brave boy called Kyle Smal who is suffering from a rare immune deficiency disease (CD40 Ligand Deficiency for those with a medical background). See: http://www.five.tv/media/pdf/11972375.pdf for more info.
Kyle is now 7 years old and couldn't stop smiling/caring about everyone else when he was suffering immense pain during his treatments. At the moment he is being looked after by his parents at home; the risks of a second bone marrow transplant are too great...
His courage will hopefully inspire me to keep going until I reach the finish line- despite my dodgy leg/knee... It pales in to insignificance.
Finally, I am open to suggestions re silly costumes, but for now please get your credit/debit cards ready and help me reach my fund-raising target.
Thank-you for absorbing the above and for your subsequent generosity.
