This page has been set up in loving memory of our dear friend and colleague Natalie Maria Morabito, 1st December 1976 - 21st December 2023.

Natalie started working on Sarum Children's Ward in September 2001, coming from Cardiff Children's Hospital as a staff nurse. At this time, Natalie's Mum Hilly also worked on Sarum Ward as our ward clerk, and her Dad worked with the Genetics service. Natalie was very proud to be a paediatric nurse and was a huge inspiration to many - she was loyal, hard-working and an incredibly dedicated nurse. In the past six years of her 22 years of employment, Natalie worked tirelessly to help shape and develop the paediatric epilepsy service in Salisbury alongside her friend and colleague Dr Jim Baird.

Outside of work Natalie was a loving wife to husband Seb, and Mum to Nicolas and Jessica. Natalie had a beautiful creativity with cake-making, and crochet was a passion, she decorated the local post box tops and did yarn bombing for special occasions. She also enjoyed playing netball with a local team, and was very musical in her younger years.

 
Since her diagnosis four years ago of breast cancer, which she fought privately with dignity and humility, she received an excellent service from the Pembroke Suite at Salisbury and felt supported from Salisbury Hospice. Her courage and bravery were unshakable until the end when she died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and close friends.

 
Natalie will be missed more than words can say. Natalie's wishes were that donations should be divided equally between the Children's Unit, the Pembroke Unit and Salisbury Hospice. Where possible please Gift Aid donations via the Stars Appeal website.
