Story

We did it! What a journey, I have never done anything as tough as this. The journey took over 16 hours solid cycling starting at 4.30am in winchester(wake up 2.45am! - get the porridge in :-)) and arriving in Eastbourne at 9pm. Only one hill did we not manage on the bike, which when i look back was incredible as the journey is just one long massive flint and rock ridden hill with huge inclines! Peter had not got used to his new SPD pedals and as a result crashed 8 times (at one point using a gate as a stopping mechanism!) and i managed to come off at 30mph going over the handlebars - luckily on grass. Tash ran around all dar in a support car with spare wheels, tyres and energy drinks, we need them all as the flints caused several punctures! So apart from a few bruises, very sore bums and muscle ache we were ok. We met the other guys in Eastbourne and went out for a well deserved meal at the end of the day!!

Pete and I were over the moon to support we hae received. Thank you for supporting Peter and I! Wow - with the gift aid and donation from Vodafone we have broken £2000 which i know will make a massive difference to the miscarriage association.

Background

We shall be travelling over 110 miles in one day, with 13,000 feet of ascent (3 times Snowdonia!).  It's going to be a really tough ride, but we have been training hard and hope the weather is kind to us.  Most people would take 3 days to cover this distance, however, you know me, always up for a challenge!!!!!!

many thanks

Neil
