10K Royal Marine Commando Challenge · 9 October 2016

Through social activities and challenges, and the provision of televisions, television licences and computer tablets, The Not Forgotten combats the causes of isolation & loneliness amongst the injured and disabled Armed Forces community.

Story

We have appropriately named ourselves The NFA Rockettes as our partners/husbands and friends from the NFA frequently refer to us as their 'rocks' in times of trouble.

We have decided its time to join in on the action and raise some money for this amazing charity that does so much for our loved ones.

On Sunday 9th October 2016 as a group the NFA Rockettes will be completing the 10K Commando Challenge at Woodbury Common.  The course is the same one undertaken by Royal Marine recruits when training for their coveted green berets across rough moor and woodland terrain.  The ultimate obstacle for us and the one that even the toughest of Commandos have nightmares about is the infamous 'sheep dip'!!

We are still looking for recruits to join the NFA Rockettes so if you have links to the NFA and  think you would like the challenge please contact Rosie Thompson on events@nfassociation.org
