I am returning to New York in November to take part in the Marathon there for the fourth time, having previously successfully completed it in 2006 2007 and 2008.

I am running on behalf of Ashgate Hospice this year and hope to raise as much as possible to support the wonderful work carried out for those with terminal illnesses.

Having been a volunteer there for only a short period of time, I have witnessed first hand the ways in which the staff of the Hospice endeavour to make life as bearable as possible for both the patients and for visiting friends and family members.
