Thanks for looking at this fundraising page. I appreciate the time taken to read some of it and hopefully give me a little bit of money in support of Macmillan. 

Macmillan are utterly brilliant people; providing support for those with cancer and making a huge difference to them and their families lives. Their nurses and carers are splendid people and have supported people close to me through some tough times over the last couple of years, in particular my Mum as she continues to give her cancer a right good kicking. 

Two years ago I toddled around IM Kalmar with my Mum's impending surgery keeping me focussed. Despite some set backs I am looking forward to having her in Tenby to see me shuffle gracelessly over the finish line at IM Wales. It means a huge amount to me that she will be there, and Macmillan have been a big part of supporting her. This is my small way of giving something back to them.

I hope you feel that Macmillan are worth it, the chance of a novelty IronMan cowbell is worth it, and the opportunity to sting me for money is worth it.  And if not, then be content that I will be a shambolic mess after 2.4 miles of swimming, 112 miles of cycling and a marathon run to finish off with. And that has to be worth something, right?

*  if you aren't sure what to guess - i finished in 11h 15mins in Sweden, and that was about 5x flatter. The cut off is 17 hours, after which they turn the lights off and everyone eats a welsh cake.
