On 29th August I am taking part in a sponsored bike ride - pedal not power apparently - between London and Paris. Great over two weeks with a well-stocked credit card, but this is 300 miles in 4 days.

So I am joining the list of people after your money and asking you to sponsor me.The money goes to the Nystagmus network which, to be honest, I doubt that I would have heard about were it not for the fact that my niece Jessica suffers from the condition. Its not a big or glamorous charity, but it does great work in researching a difficult and not well-known affliction. In their case the money really will go a long way. Like me on the 29th, I hope. So do please help if you can, whatever the sum.

I hoped to find a picture of me on a bike, but none seems to exist, but I am not letting this knock my confidence.
