Story

April 2007

Many thanks to all those ladies who attended the charity taster poledancing event. You helped to raise over £1700!!

March 2007

It's time for yet another fundraiser so to all the Ladies out there please come to the ladies taster lesson charity poledancing party taking place on Saturday 14th April!

It promises to be a fun and fitness focused party so why not give it a go for charity?

February 2007

And so the training finally begins, the Kilimanjaro setting on the running and cross trainer machines is giving me muscles in places I didn't know exisited!!

Many thanks to all those who came charity speedating before Valentine's Day you helped to raise nearly £1000 towards my total and I know everyone had a great time!!

December 2006

And so another challenge begins with a lot more training as all 5"1/4 of me WILL be getting to the top of the highest free standing mountain in the world, and the highest mountain in Africa - Kilimanjaro, which stands at 5895 metres!!

On the 26th June 2007 we will wake at the crack of dawn for 6 days to walk, climb and trek for upto 15 or so hours a day. The challenge is made tougher by the number of ecological zones we will cross which means walking through desert and ice, with temperatures as low as -20c.

On top of all this will be the challenge of coping with trekking at high altitude!!

I am fundraising for the RAISA (Regional Aids Initative for Southern Africa) project. This is a four-year VSO initiative seeking to strengthen the response to the HIV & AIDS pandemic in Southern Africa.

It aims to join forces with government institutions and civil society organisations to provide effective prevention, treatment, care and advocacy for people affected by HIV & AIDS, and to mitigate the personal, social and economic impact of the pandemic.

Please give whatever you can - every penny counts and ALL DONATIONS go to charity I will be covering my own costs

I hope to see you at the fundraising events that I will be organising.

Many thanks for all your support,

Nins :)
