On Sunday 1st November 2009, I will be running 26.2 miles from Staten Island to Central Park in memory of my beautiful friend, Debbie Stupple A.K.A. Debbie Worsley A.K.A. BIRD!  Debbie was diagnosed with bowel cancer in January last year and unfortunately lost her battle (and boy did she battle) on 28th August 2008.  Such an amazing person, a great friend who I love dearly! Debbie will always be in my thoughts and forever in my heart - she touched the lives of many and I am blessed to have been one of them.

Bird enhanced my life to a level I will never lose......and for that, I am dedicating this marathon to her.

Happy Memories

Debbie loved her cats, with Boycie and Bert (Tiggy in the earlier years), she took pride in her home, Peartree Cottage and enjoyed the garden.....well the part she could fit a sunlounger!!  Her love of clothes & shoes, she was certainly a woman after my own heart: many a lunchtimes we would go out for some food, only to find ourselves with an arm-full of clothes walking into the fitting rooms at Warehouse, near Liverpool Street......then to find ourselves with a 5 minute dash to get lunch!

Macmillan were absolutely amazing with Debbie, and I believe they helped her prepare for her next journey in life.......Heather (Macmillan Nurse) was a delight who supported Debbie and those closest to her, through the toughest of times and for that, I am raising money for Macmillan.
