Fundraising for Barnardo's
Story
Hello and thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
In the name of philanthropy, vanity, and quite possibly insanity, I have decided to throw down the gauntlet by competing in a succession of running events. This will include both a half-marathon and a marathon; however I am starting with the BUPA London 10K (roughly 6.2 miles), which takes place on Monday 25th May.
I will be running for the children's charity Barnardo's, whose work with children and young people is invaluable and makes a great difference to the lives of those that are less fortunate than ourselves. The fundraising target for this first run is £350, although I have stumped up £150 of my own money, so all you have to do is help top up the remaining £200. Easy!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Barnardo's gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
