Living with CFS/ME myself – although thankfully getting better all the time – I'm aware of how poorly understood it is. ME Research UK is the only UK charity that raises money specifically to fund scientific research into this debilitating condition, its underlying causes and potential treatments. That's why I'm cycling 106 very hilly miles in this year's Virgin Money Cyclone Challenge (Newcastle–Rothbury–Bellingham–Newcastle), having only got back on a bike last May after about twenty years off.
