Paawan Purba, one of the brightest, happiest and most beautiful social butterflies ever created, Paawan was, is and will always be my little sister and touched everyones lives especially our family's with her blossoming smile, along with her warm and loving embrace. There was never a moment she didn't want to celebrate something or get together with friends and family...

I, having the honour of being the eldest grandchild of 13, want to commemorate Paawans living and lasting legacy of living life and loving life by shaving my head on 9th September 2017, a year on from when our hearts were broken by her loss to meningitis. She would've been the first one to say she will hold my hand while I take this scary step, knowing how much I love my long hair and knowing that will give me the strength to do it...

We will thereafter annually celebrate Paawan with an event of some crazy paawan kind, to remember her by and continue raising awareness for meningitis in the future as she would've wanted and truly keep her spirit alive! ...
