Mum started with symptoms of Axial Spondyloarthritis (AS) in her 30s. Over the years the AS had a considerable impact both physically and emotionally, but she rarely complained and in latter years never really considered herself disabled, nor wanted to be treated differently.

Now people diagnosed with AS have access to different medicines, many of which didn’t even exist 55 years ago. The National Axial Spondyloarthritis Society (NASS) not only supports research, educates patients & health professionals, but also raises public awareness in this uncommon disease, so that more people are diagnosed early.
