It's lung cancer awareness month and I am taking part in Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation's iconic Swimming the Distance challenge, hoping to raise money and awareness for the only UK charity dedicated to supporting everybody affected by lung cancer.

I’m hoping to swim a half marathon which is 13.1 miles.

I shall be posting details of my progress throughout November.

Why am I taking part? It was free to sign up and all I had to do was select a distance suitable for me. I am able to take part in my free time, and wherever I wish, as long as I have completed it by November 30th.

Not only am I doing this to help those affected by lung cancer, I also have the chance to earn some fantastic gifts! Please support me to hit their £100 fundraising target to receive an exclusive medal!

Every penny will be appreciated and will go towards those affected by this dreadful disease.
