Story
Just Like Us is the LGBT+ young people’s charity.
Their vision is a world where all LGBT+ young people are able to thrive.
Unfortunately, growing up LGBT+ is still unacceptably tough. Almost half of young people have received little or no positive messaging about being LGBT+ at school. This results in LGBT+ young people being twice as likely to have been bullied at school compared to their peers, and they are twice as likely to suffer from poor mental health and depression.
Young people spend an average of 190 days in school each year. To help every LGBT+ young person and every school community create a safe and inclusive environment that helps young people to thrive, I'm taking part in the 190 Challenge.
I have chosen to paint 190 beautiful and unique rainbows to represent the 190 days young people spend in school, to help raise vital funds to support inclusive education for everyone.
Grateful for your support and allyship!
