Just Like Us is the LGBT+ young people’s charity.

Young people spend an average of 190 days in school each year, which is why, this summer, we're asking you to take part in our 190 Campaign, to raise vital funds and awareness for LGBT+ young people across the UK.

Recent reports have shown that bullying of LGBT+ young people is on the rise in the UK. Exclusions or suspensions of pupils due to bullying others based on their sexual orientation or gender identity rose by 25% in just 3 years. Bullying can have a devastating impact on young people, affecting them well into adulthood.

We know that positive LGBT+ messaging in schools can change this. Just Like Us work to provide resources for teachers to use in the classroom, we train young LGBT+ adults (18-25) who go into schools and tell their story, and we support teachers to set up pride groups in their schools - a safe place for all young people to feel connected and supported.

Ready to make a difference?

Step up this pride season and walk 190km to help support LGBT+ young people. You could take on the challenge alone or as part of a group. (As a guide 1km is about 1,400 steps. So walking 10,000 steps a day for 27 days would hit the target.) What's more you have until the end of August for you or your team to complete your challenge.

And if walking isn’t your thing you could run, cycle or swim 190km, or bake and sell 190 cakes, knit 190 scarves - be as creative as you like! Alternatively you can just make a donation to support this campaign - without putting on your running shoes!

Your support will help us to reach more young people, deliver more school talks and help teachers with the resources they need to provide inclusive education for all young people.
