Story
Hi! I am Christopher Hall and I have signed up for the Hospicecare Himalayan Trek in October 2026. I am paying my own expenses and have increased my fundraising target from £5,000 to £7,000 and now £10,000, every penny of which will go to the charity. In addition to begging letters to everyone I know, to go out closer to the time, I am fundraising in three ways:
Can't Fix, Won't Fix. Handyman for Hospice
Can't Cook, Won't Cook. A meal in your own home
Can't Walk, Won't Walk. Have the dog taken out
Can't Fix, Won't Fix. I will be happy to try any odd jobs around the house or garden that are generally too small to get in a professional. I am pretty handy and will attempt almost anything that is not electrical (but I will change lightbulbs).
Can't Cook, Won't Cook. Want a meal for four people cooked in your own house? I will help plan a three course menu, shop, cook, serve and clear up for the cost of the ingredients plus a negotiated donation to Hospicecare.
Can't Walk, Won't Walk. Need the dog taken out? I have had dogs since I was a child and will take your dog out on a one off or regular basis for an hourly fee to Hospicecare.
Happy to send more details of all the above and would note that I have enhanced DBS clearance since hosting a Ukrainian mother and 15 year old daughter.
