Story
Ten years ago, my life looked very different. Getting through a single day was a challenge, and the idea of running for a bus, let alone running 10 marathons, was completely unimaginable.
This year, I am celebrating exactly 10 years of sobriety. To mark a decade of getting my life back, I wanted to take on a physical test that truly reflects the distance I’ve travelled mentally and emotionally. Starting on September 22nd, I am taking on The 4x10 Challenge:
10 Marathons
In 10 Consecutive Days
Across 10 Different Counties
That is 262 miles of running. I am starting this challenge at my current home in Newby Wiske, North Yorkshire, and over 10 days, I will be running a giant loop across the country, all the way back to my roots. On Thursday, October 1st, I will cross the finish line at Blackburn Rugby Club.
Why I Need Your Help:
Every single step of this challenge, and every penny raised, is going directly to Scotty’s Little Soldiers, an incredible charity dedicated to supporting bereaved children who have experienced the death of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces.
Thank you for backing me, thank you for supporting these incredible children, and I will see you at the finish line in Blackburn!
