Story

Why I’m raising money

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In May 2026, I’ll be taking on the Exeter Live Better Marathon, running 42.2km as part of a wider student-led community fundraising challenge.

This page is raising money for Sea Cadets, with a specific focus on supporting the Bridgwater Sea Cadets unit, who provide incredible opportunities for young people locally.

Sea Cadets help young people develop confidence, teamwork, leadership, and practical life skills in a safe and supportive environment. Units like Bridgwater rely heavily on fundraising to provide training, equipment, and activities for their cadets.

The challenge

Running a marathon is a significant physical and mental challenge. Over the coming months, I’ll be following a structured training plan to prepare safely and responsibly for race day.

Every kilometre run represents support for young people in the community and the opportunities Sea Cadets provide.

Where your donation goes

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast, and secure.

Your donation goes directly to Sea Cadets, a registered charity. While donations are processed nationally, this fundraising effort is intended to support the Bridgwater Sea Cadets unit.

JustGiving will never sell your details or send unwanted emails, and the charity receives your donation efficiently.

Fundraising target

I’m aiming to raise £1,700 for Sea Cadets as part of an overall fundraising goal of £5,000 across three charities.

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference.

Thank you

Thank you so much for your support — whether you donate, share the page, or send encouragement. Your generosity helps support young people locally and keeps me motivated throughout training and on marathon day.
